There have been some exorbitant, scare-mongering claims concerning predictions of a rapid, enormous rise in sea level that would cause disastrous flooding. Supposedly this would be caused by rapid melting of all ice in the world. While this is not about to happen, simple mathematics ( Archimedes principle) show that this volume would not create the amount of rise predicted by Al Gore - the guy that claims to have invented the internet.
